Vicenza, 18 March 2005 – the 2005 edition of Vicenzaoro2, the international gold, jewellery, silver, gemmology and watch show, will be held at the Vicenza Trade Fair from 11 to 16 June. Concomitantly, the summer edition of the specialised machinery and technology salon Oromacchine, reserved for the gold industry, will be held in the Leonardo pavilion. Notably, the 2005 Oromacchine show will the last edition held in June, because the dates will be moved up to May starting from next year. Although the programme of the event is still being defined, there have already been some important confirmations. First of all, ‘Gemmology Day’, scheduled for Sunday 12 June, will have the theme of cutting gemmological materials and will be organised, as usual, by Cisgem, in collaboration with the Vicenza Trade Fair. The other events scheduled for this edition of the gold fair, which will be the ideal scenario for the meetings that the Jewellery Technology Forum has scheduled for 17 and 18 June, will also deal with technology. But today’s technology evolved from ancient techniques, so the close ties between the ancient and the modern will be brought to light by the collateral show organised by the Cna and Confartigianato, where jewels produced with ancient Etruscan jewellery processing techniques will be exhibited. Additionally, again to remain in the field of technical ability, whether in the realm of production or design, there will be another important appointment in June with the preview of “Shapes of Jewelry”, the Vicenza Trade Fair’s design salon, which will anticipate some new trends with a collateral show along the Pavilion F waterway. A specific presentation has been set for Sunday June 12. Speaking of new trends in the world of jewellery, Trends Jewellery Forecasting will be presenting the latest tendencies in vogue on Saturday 11 and Wednesday 15 June. Two other meetings worthy of note are also scheduled for Monday 13 June: the press conference to present the “International watch division meeting” organised by the Cna and Confartigianato and the Convention entitled “The Future of Gold Districts in Italy” promoted by Irigem and Tolomeo studies and reseach.
